Mohamed Abukar Sheikh Mohamed is a senior Lecturer based in Mogadishu, Somalia, with more than 15 years of experience in university teaching and educational research. His academic training spans Information Technology, Mathematics, Physics, Applied Statistics, and Education Policy, Planning, and Management, providing a strong interdisciplinary foundation for both quantitative analysis and education system development.
His academic work focuses on Mathematics Education and Education Policy Analysis, with particular attention to how data-driven planning, curriculum reform, and institutional management can improve learning outcomes in higher education. Through his teaching and research, he aims to strengthen STEM education while supporting evidence-based policy and strategic planning within universities and education systems.
He has taught a wide range of undergraduate courses in mathematics, statistics, and education, and contributes to research and academic activities aimed at improving the quality, relevance, and governance of higher education in Somalia and comparable contexts.
