As an accomplished educator and academic administrator, I bring a decade of experience in higher education, specializing in mathematics, physics, and STEM pedagogy. Currently serving as the Secretary of the Faculty of Education at SIMAD University, I play a pivotal role in academic coordination, policy implementation, and institutional development.

I hold a Bachelor of Science in Education (BSc Ed) with a dual specialization in Mathematics and Physics, equipping me with a strong foundation in disciplinary knowledge and pedagogical methodologies. My academic training has been instrumental in shaping my approach to curriculum design, instructional innovation, and student engagement.

My scholarly work focuses on:

• Educational Sustainability: Exploring strategies to enhance higher education’s long-term institutional and pedagogical resilience.
• Technology in Education: Investigating the integration of digital tools and e-learning platforms to improve accessibility and learning outcomes.
• STEM Education: Advocating for interdisciplinary and inquiry-based approaches to science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) in tertiary education.

With 10 years of experience in undergraduate instruction, I have taught a diverse range of courses, including

As faculty secretary, I oversee administrative processes, facilitate faculty governance, and contribute to strategic planning to advance the Faculty of Education’s mission. I also actively collaborate with stakeholders to promote quality assurance, accreditation standards, and innovative educational initiatives.

Committed to advancing education in Somalia and beyond, I strive to bridge gaps in STEM accessibility, empower educators through professional development, and leverage research to inform policy and practice in higher education.
